Weight Loss Journey Day 1

Well I’m back to work, and decided to also get back to the gym!! I need to get back into the gym for several reasons, 1) I still have about 11 pounds before I’m back to my pre-pregnancy weight, 2) I still want to loose 12 pounds after that (total of about 23+ pounds), 3) it’s the healthy thing to do, and 4) the monthly dues are taken out of my account so I might as well go!!! LOL! So the last week leading up this day I pigged out, and ate all the foods I had no business eating!

I decided to blog about my weight loss journey so that I will be forced to take ownership, and actually follow through with this goal. I’m almost ashamed to publically display this information on the internet, but I know that this information is just temporary, and I will be able to post information that I am actually proud about.

So here goes…

My current weight is…ok well maybe I’m not secure enough to display that information, but I will show my current body fat percentage and BMI which is just as bad! Yikes!



Body Fat Chart (for Women)
Essential Fat 10-12%
Athletes 14-20%
Fitness 21-24%
Acceptable 25-31%
Obese 32%+

BMI Chart
18.5 Underweight
18.5 to 24.99 Normal Weight
25 to 29.99 Overweight
30 to 34.99 Obesity (Class 1)
35 to 39.99 Obesity (Class 2)
40 or greater Morbid Obesity

As you can see my body fat is borderline obese, and BMI is considered overweight! YIKES!!

My plan is to stay active daily even if I don’t make it to the gym by riding my bike, walking Biff, taking Joshua for a walk, going hiking, walking on my lunch breaks, walking the mall, jogging, etc. I will lower my carb, sugar, and salt intake, and eat more healthy snacks throughout the day.

I look forward to a new healthier Brandi!!
